EMBRACING A MOTHER THAT IS UNLIMITED, UN-CONTAINED, AND UNCONVENTIONAL

An African proverb says, the “wise aim at boundaries beyond the present; [and] by their struggle they transcend the circle of their beginning.”
The Brown Girl dares to step out of the box of conventionality that has always excluded her – to envision a creation that is far more inclusive, one that sees beyond the European biblical tradition that “remade its past to suit its own interests”– and  recalls ancient Africa’s place as the Motherland of creation.
Moses says to the Israelites, “you forgot the God who gave you birth” (Deut. 32:18 NIV).  Isaiah said that God cried out like “a woman in childbirth,” reminding her children that she upheld since conception and “carried … since… birth” (Isaiah 42:14, 46:3).  It was this Mother God, Hosea recalls, who taught us to walk, who healed us, who lifted the yokes from our necks, who bent down to feed us (Hosea 11:3-4).

Even Pope John Paul I recognized that God is not just our Father; “even more God is our [M]other.”  Hence, we should not be limited to a male-dominated creation mythology that leaves out the Mother Creator.
God as Mother is not merely Creator but is creativity itself.
Creator as Mother is the epitome of Love:  love as grace, love as compassion, love as peace, love as strength, love as power, love as wisdom, love as community, love as justice, love as faith, love as hope.  Creator as Mother is not a gender – but is the energy of  creation constantly and continuously creating itself.
Few would dispute that due to European male dominance of Christianity as a tradition, God the Father governs the majority of our relationships with God.  But that solely paternal relationship is often limited to the over-literalized metaphor that it is.
The paternal image of God as Father has so monopolized “Christian speech about God that the equally legitimate and in some ways even more appropriate symbol of God as Mother [has been] eclipsed.”  However, this historical, political, cultural, and economic dominance of man over woman does not dispel the Truth that God is greater than any pre-conceived notion of human sexuality or gender.  God’s attributes as Creator can be better identified with the attributes of Mother as the major creative, life-giving force in the world.
“Since it is women whose bodies bear, nourish, and deliver new persons into life and, as society is traditionally structured, are most often charged with the responsibility to nurture them into maturity, language about [Creator] as mother carries a unique power to express human relationship to the mystery who generates and cares for everything.”
The Brown Girl, as a Columbian Indian, sings that God is “the mother of all races, the mother of all tribes.  She is the mother of the thunder, mother of the rain and rivers, the mother of trees and all living things.” Of course, many if not most theologians choose to stay deeply embedded in a tradition merely because it is traditional; they refuse to entertain Creator as Mother since “the Bible speaks of God as ‘Father’” – fully ignoring the fact that the biblical image of God was created by men wrote the Bible.
The Brown Girl – surrounded by the hatred and condemnation of a white male-dominated world, is a Creator who uplifts those who have been marginalized and demonized – putting them in their rightful place as equal heirs to the throne; a Creator who has “a mother’s love that makes the beloved beautiful”; a Creator whose love cannot be earned or merited but is “freely and abundantly given.”
Creator as Mother generates everything and ensures that it flourishes.  “Without origin, without source, without beginning,” Creator as Mother is not a gender but is creativity itself.  “Creation is not something God did . . . Creation is something God does and is still doing.”
“There is a creative force constantly at work in man and all creation.”  Creator as Mother is “sympathetic, comforting, loving, forgiving, and instantly healing,” with all “compassion and healing power of the Father at ‘Her’ command.”
Those of us who are oppressed, marginalized, denigrated, and impoverished realize the presence of God when we understand that “every moment is the beginning of a new creation.” Creation did not begin and end in seven days; those days are just symbolic of the   Truth that “[w]herever there is the evidence of creative action, there God is.”
“God is closer to us than we are to ourselves.” We experience God through our expressions of the creative source.  We are a living expression of God.

CHANGE YOUR MIND BY BEING GREATER THAN TIME, SPACE AND BODY – Part 4 – Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself

This audio tape is an excerpt from the studied chapter “OVERCOMING YOUR ENVIRONMENTbreaking-the-habit-of-being-yourself,” from the book Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself,  by Joe Dispenza, at pp. 33-43, which you can purchase on Amazon.  We are also excerpting the music of Peter Kater and R. Carlos Nakai: “If Men Were at Peace” and “Call to Enchantment,” which can be purchased on i-Tunes.

“Most people focus on three things in life: their environment, their bodies, and time. They don’t just focus on those three elements, they think equal to them. But to break the habit of being yourself, you have to think greater than the circumstances of your life, be greater than the feelings that you have memorized in your body, and live in a new line of time. If you want to change, you must have in your thoughts an idealized self—a model that you can emulate, which is different from, and better than, the ‘you’ that exists today in your particular environment, body, and time.” Dispenza, Joe. Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself.

FINDING SPACE IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD

We are looking outside for the sacred space that is not in the world but is in us.  We are worried about manna that never stops falling.  We are obsessed with what others think when that is none of our business.  We are afraid of evil when love is the only power that there is.

Love is the kingdom that the Book of Luke teaches us to seek, when Jesus says “do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear . . . .  your Father knows that you need them.  But seek His kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.”  (Luke 12:22, 30-31)  The problem is that many of us are waiting for a man named Jesus and a Father that is not in the flesh but is in the soul.

love20

Where is the soul?   Both within us and without.  It is the pure consciousness of love that we live, move and have our being in.  (Acts 17:28)  Jesus said it even better: He said, “I am in the Father and you are in me and I am in you.”  (John 14:20) In this kingdom of absolute good, we are immediately healed in the realization that we are always well.  This shift in consciousness is immediate when we surrender to the presence and power of God as our souls.

light21Luke 17:20-21 says “ Once, on being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, ‘The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed,  nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is in your midst.’”  The kingdom of God is everywhere you are because the soul is everywhere you are.

In Consciousness Transformed, Joel Goldsmith said “You can never find the kingdom of God until you have entered into the awareness of your own Soul. ”

water-2Joel says “God is the divine being of you, your very life, your very Soul, the Self of you.”

This great mystic of all times said “God is spirit and the kingdom of God is within you, not in holy mountains or holy temples or merely in holy teachers. You must find God at the center of your being and experience God there.”  (Joel S. Goldsmith, Consciousness Transformed)

img_5929Our resurrection comes with rising from the dead of complacency, the dead of fear, the dead of regret, the dead of worry, the dead of shame, the dead of the appearances of things.  “The goal is releasing the Soul from the tomb of human existence, more especially the tomb of the human mind. In your periods of introspection or contemplation check to see to what extent you are imprisoned in your mind and body. ” (Joel S. Goldsmith, Consciousness Transformed)

Our resurrection is here and now as the rebirth of our re-connection with the soul, that has never left nor forsaken us.  We have simply forgotten where, who and what we are.  We are the vehicle of the kingdom of God, and we carry that vehicle in our souls.

img_5978The soul is always waiting to align us with the favor that is everywhere present.  Albert Einstein illustrated the pure potential of life with a simple equation: E = mc2, demonstrating that energy and matter are so fundamentally related that they are one and the same. Essentially, his work showed that matter and energy are completely interchangeable.  We are gods, as Jesus said, given the power of pure potential.  In this realm of pure potential, all else is added.  Our good is already there, already here.

love21Walt Disney carried Mickey around in his pocket in the appearances of poverty and despair, failing to realize that a mere mouse would manifest millions.  Connecting with the soul, finding space in the kingdom within is endless abundance, infinite prosperity filled with love, gratitude and grace that will bless us past, present and future.

Joe Dispenza teaches that “[w]hen you are in a state of gratitude, you transmit a signal into the field that an event has already occurred. ”  With the sheer energy of thanking the universe for the changes that we desire to take place, we energize the ethers of divine creation to manifest.  We change our lives when we realize that nothing can prevent our good from taking shape: neither body, nor time, nor environment.   Join us on Mondays, starting February 6, 2017, as we study Dr. Dispenza’s book, Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself,  8 PM  EST (Spiritmuv Conference Line 218-936-4986/ Pass Code 48201). You can purchase it on Amazon Kindle.

In the realm of the soul, also known as the  kingdom of God,    we are in the space of gratitude, but also in the sacred space of clairvoyance, prophecy, vision, divine intelligence, knowing as well as unknowing, the divine space of simply being.  This is the space that we belong in, not one in which there is hatred, lack or envy, but a space of power, where there is the whole being of God expressing as us.
love120Today I envision myself as the whole being of God: without boundaries, limitations, or doubts.  In this kingdom, I see my soul, beautiful, loving and powerful.  Everything that celebrates me as a full expression of God is here.  I am free.  I do the work of God with brilliance, integrity, joy, and light.

DANCE WITH A NEW FREEDOM

DANCE 13she wishes she could tell you the beginning so that you would realize the end
is the glory of a song
and a dance
with heart and meaning,

the poetry of creation
always leading back to itself.

DANCE 10

DANCE 3

Eric Butterworth was one of the great mystics of your time.  He taught many Brown Girls and left many books and tapes as a lasting legacy.  Before he made his transition, he was in a wheelchair.  His voice had become so weak that those around him hung on to his every word.  One of the last things that he said at a retreat in upstate New York was “I have no theology, I dance.”

“I have no theology, I dance”  means that you DANCE 5move with the Holy Spirit,  move with the wisdom that there is no separation between all that you are and all that I am.  You flow, you live, you laugh, you sing, you dance with a new understanding that you are unlimited in the Spirit, regardless of the appearances of the flesh.  You are Spirit in movement.

DANCE 2You are not a religion, you are divine truth. You are constantly re-defining yourself because there is no limit to Spirit.  In John 14:12, Jesus said, he who believes in me will do the works that I do also; and greater works than these will he do.  When you dance in the Spirit, you realize that if things are not going the way that you want them to go; if you are not satisfied with the direction your life has taken; if you don’t like the experiences that manifest in your life – you have the power to change them.

DANCE 7When you dance in the Spirit, you know that if patterns of negativity keep showing up in your life – such as disharmony, loneliness, pain, physical discomfort, financial insecurity, lack, worry, doubt – you can change them. You can wake up from your self-limiting thought and you can experience the ceaseless flow of good – and turn your life around.  You can dance.

DANCE 8When you dance in the Spirit, you shake the dust off your feet.  You bless the people who are not in accord with your greatest good, who do not support you and do Spirit calls you to do.  You dance in the joy of infinite possibility.  You dance in the hope that you can create, grow, plant, deliver, empower, ignite, vote, rap, sing, write, dig, teach, sell, envision, tap, rescue, develop, uncover, realize something in your life that will heal the world of hatred, of doubt, of lack, of limitation.

DANCE 11The Psalmist says in the 8th Psalm, the 6th Verse, you have given him power over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet. You dance.  No matter how unimportant, how trivial, how average, how unattractive, how old, how overweight, how unnecessary, how disabled you may seem to you, the dance that you do could not be done in quite the same way – without you doing it.  You dance in the realization that you are my unique melody sung once – only once as you – one melody of Spirit singing itself into the continuum; and the music of the spheres would not be complete without your voice.

DANCE 12 You dance in the truth that Spirit moves through you. You have something wonderful to offer life, which can only be created as you.  When King David brought the Ark of the Covenant to the City of David, which to the Israelites was the ark where God was kept, David danced before the Lord with all his might.  This mighty king made up his mind right then that he would tap dance, break dance, cabbage patch – clap his hands and stomp his feet – that he would gladly be a dancing fool – not just for a wooden Ark but for the Spirit that dwelt within him.

DANCE 6Throw away your crutches – whatever shape they may take.  Get up from beside your pools of Bethesda.  Touch the hem of my beloved Jesus’ garment.  Rise up like Lazarus.  Run the race and don’t get weary.  Renew your course with a new strength, a new power and a new victory.  There really is nothing, absolutely nothing that can hold you back.  So press forward not just to win the prize but to dance – all the way to the finished line.

This is an excerpt from the book God is a Brown Girl Too, which can be purchased on amazon.com.  It is a book where God speaks to us from the kingdom within, which is and always will be uniquely us.  Read and imagine God speaking to you, in the image and likeness of all that you are.

TEN WAYS TO SEIZE THE POWER OF THE PRESENT MOMENT

118

Last night, we broke bread with friends as we talked about the importance of enjoying every moment of life.  We talked about those who have gone before us and the possibility that when the great beyond summons us, we must go – no matter where we are.  But we also talked about not contributing to the summons by making poor choices that lead to gout, diabetes, kidney failure, heart attacks, and so many other diseases that we can eliminate by making good choices.  Even after we try and fail, each new moment gives us the divine opportunity to be better, live better and listen to Spirit.  If we really listen, we hear the grace that forgives us for what we didn’t do and frees us to seize the power of the present moment.  I listened, and the Holy Spirit gave me the following ten ways to seize the power of the present moment.

SAY “I AM.   One of the best ways to get centered in the consciousness of Spirit is to affirm the absolute power of your being in the I AM.  God told Moses “I AM Who I AM.”  The “I I AM 5AM” is our true identity, the restorative, healing power of God.  Whatever we add to, we give energy, strength and power to – so be careful that you imbue and infuse I AM with what you desire to see take place.  But the most pristine form of giving God praise and acknowledging God’s blessings as you is just to say “I AM.”

great 7BREATHE.  I know that you think you are breathing, but you are probably holding your breath more than you realize and not taking an opportunity to enjoy the breath of life and to allow the anointing of its divine energy to bless you.  Take three long inhalations and exhalations and with each one think of nothing but the breath of life breathing you.  Breathing is the most restorative, re-creative, healing medicine we can take.

THANK GOD.  Whenever we thank God, we open up the floodgates to allow our blessings to pour.  Not only do we reap what we sow, but Jesus said that we will be allowed to reap what we have not worked for.  When we thank God for our blessings, we begin the process of moving ourselves out of the way so that our good can manifest.kingdom 11

Haiti children 6CALL YOUR PARENTS.  We must honor those who have given us life and have dedicated their lives to make sure we enjoy it.  It doesn’t have to be a long conversation – just long enough to say “I love you, and I thank you.”  If your parents are not alive, call the person who is an elder who has blessed you and helped you and served as a surrogate parent.  If there is no one like that in your life, make friends with an elder.  They will make you remember to seize the power of the present moment.  If you are angry with your parents – or even those who have served as surrogate parents, now is the time to re-connect with them.

FORGIVE YOUR ENEMIES.  Forgiveness is not for your enemies or whoever you harbor resentment against; forgiveness is for you.  You have the power to reclaim here and now the energy that you have been giving kingdom 3away to other people – by complaining about them, resenting them, refusing to acknowledge them, and perhaps even hating them.  Forgive them here and now.  There is no time better than the present to let go, release, and surrender to the prospering power of peace.  This is not the same thing as repeating mistakes, but it is forgiving ourselves from making them and blessing whoever was involved in them so that we can move forward in our lives.

kingdom 4ASK, BELIEVE AND RECEIVE.  Asking, believing and receiving is pure energy.  This is the vibration that knows what we want, believes that the universe will provide it, opens our hearts to receive it.  God’s will always fills the present moment.  Our desires – as long as they are not hurtful or harmful to anyone – are God’s will because it is in our soul to demonstrate them.  All we have to do is ask the universe and we are instantly blessed by our desires.  Our desires do not only bless us, they bless others too.

DRINK WATER.  Water is the energy of life.  We owe it to our bodies to replenish its source and to fill our muscles with its strength.  If we bless our water before we drink it, we fill it with the nourishing, cleansing, healing restorative power that it will give our bodies.  If we want to lose weight, we must drink water because that is the only way that excess fat is removed from our bodies.  If we want clear skin, we must drink water.  If we want greater energy, we must drink water.  Water cannot be replaced by coffee, tea, soda, wine, or juice.  Drink your water in each sacred moment that you remember.great 4

ownership 6BE HONEST.  Honesty heals all wounds, all disease, all fear.  When we are honest, we don’t worry about what we shall eat.  We don’t overeat.  We don’t eat foods that are poisonous to our bodies.  We don’t abuse substances or do anything that would not allow our temples of the living God to flourish.  We must move our bodies each day to make them stronger.  We have to work hard but also rest.

LOVE.  There is no greater power than love.  Love heals all wounds.  Love prospers all lives.  Love climbs all mountains.  Loves lifts us up where we belong – as the song says.  If we can take one moment each day and love, we will begin the process of healing the entire planet.  All we have to do is send forth the energy of love and allow it to move through us as us.  All we have to do is love.  When we love, we allow the ultimate reality of our being to take place – that is we move out of God’s way and allow God to express God’s love as us.

CREATE.  God didn’t create the universe in seven days and then stop.  God continues to create the universe in and as us.  We are sometimes afraid to create, afraid to push beyond our comfort zones, afraid to taste the begin 11sweetness of being who we truly are, afraid to take the bull by the horns, afraid to defy convention by stepping outside what is expected of us – or that we expect of ourselves – to do and to be the extraordinary beings that we are.  Creativity allows us to enter the vortex of inexhaustible supply and be used by the universe in a new way.  “In this moment, I AM . . . .”  Now is the time for you to finish the sentence.

POWER PRAYER FOR HEALTH, WHOLENESS AND PROSPERITY By Cecilia Loving

Center yourself for a moment in the silence,
breathing in and breathing out the divine presence,
in which we live and move and have our being.
And allow yourself to turn on and tap into a prayerful state of being One with all of the Goodness and Greatness that God Is.

When we are really centered in Oneness, we realize that we do not have to pray for God to make an appearance.
We do not have to hope that we will be given Wholeness and Health and Realization of our Greatest Good.
We do not have to long for Prosperity and Riches and Divine Ideas.
We do not even have to worry about the right relationships and loved ones.
We only have to realize that God is here.
Spirit is here.
Love is here.
Perfect health and wholeness is here.
Infinite and inexhaustible source is here.
It is as the Apostle Paul said,
the Divine Source that
we live and move and have our being in.

Feel the love of the Oneness of Spirit engulf you and uplift you
and vibrate within every cell of your being.
Know that the power of your potential and your talents and your gifts
radiate out from you to attract the right person
and the right circumstances
and the right channels for you to be blessed
with good that is greater than you could ever imagine.

If there is health and wholeness that you want,
it is embracing you right now.
If there are divine opportunities that you want,
they are knocking at your door right now.
If there is hope that you need,
it is giving way to deeper understanding right now.
As Jesus said, don’t worry about what you will eat,
and what you will drink,
and what you will wear.
The Father-Mother-Everything-Almighty Love that
is never separate from you already knows what
you have need of — before you even ask.
Yes, we have judged by appearances.
We have sat by the pool of Bethesda,
and even when the water was stirred,
we refused to get in.
We have been afraid to walk the water
even when we held Spirit’s hand as our own.

We have asked — not believing.
We have sought — not to find, and
we have knocked — seriously doubting that the door would be opened.
But today, in this season of your birth, we will turn a new leaf.

We will open our hearts to the Kingdom of God is within us.
We will do the things that we never believed possible.
We will be restored the years that the locust has eaten.
We will trust that our Father and our Mother God
will fill us with the awesome power of new dimensions,
bless us with the miraculous promise of new heights, and
anoint us with the holy salvation of greatness.

We will open our hearts to receive the perfect health, wisdom and truth,
of all that Love is.
We will learn to walk on the water of Faith,
and ride the wings of Spirit’s might.
We will reach more and more and more of our goals,
and know the hallelujah of an answered prayer — again,
and again,
and again.

We will wear our blessings well
because we already flow with the unlimited
power of the universe —
manifesting it’s good in all shape and form.
We will wear the transformation of a new freedom
— to really express our being as the children of the most High
and the prophets of a New Age.

We will sing songs of gratitude without end,
and worship because we are worthy.

We will thank the earth for its strength, the universe for its ideas, the vortex for its vision,
and the love that radiates as life —
for teaching us that there is nothing that we cannot do,
nothing that we cannot imagine,
nothing that we cannot be with the power of God.
We will ride the storm.
We will weather the tide.
We will prevail against the mighty waves.

We will be reborn in the glory of strength, wisdom, and success.
We will thank Jesus for teaching us that we are gods.
We will really remember that the Holy Spirit is in us,
and so is the Father,
and so is He.

We are the joyful season of promise —
ageless in our task and unlimited in our mission.
We are the seeds of pure possibility —
rising through lack to claim our abundance.
We are the hope of change —
full of God’s good health,
Spirit’s unlimited movement,
and Love’s infinite strength.

We are the new joy of a day.

And so it is, and so be it.
